I've been Tagged!

Jessica tagged me yesterday (or the day before?). Now, I love to play along with things like this but I am going to have to break the rules on this one! I just really don't have many friends that blog! And since Jessica tagged all of our fellow AWDML dt members...I'll answer the questions but not actually tag anyone! So...if you have been wishing to be tagged...consider this your tag!

Here are the rules:

1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.

2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.

3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.

4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

7 Things about me:

1.) I am 35 years old.

2.) I can't leave the house in flip-flops unless my toes are painted!

3.) I am a speed-reader and go through 2-3 books a week.

4.) I have a huge sweet tooth!

5.) I love Cracker Barrel...we plan our vacation routes around them because there are none in Oregon or Washington! Their biscuits are to die for!

6.) I am addicted to Coca-Cola! (but won't drink Pepsi!)

7.) Someday I will go back to teaching again...but probably not middle school again! =)

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Teddy Bear Parade

This morning was the Teddy Bear Parade! Isaac's preschool had a trailer with all the kids on it! All the moms (and dads) walked behind! It is a cute little parade! Here are some pictures of my little bear!

I haven't posted for a while...there has been a little cold going around the family and it wiped me out this week! I did get to a LSS on Friday to scrap for 6 hours but other than that I have been just kind of useless! Hopefully will feel better this week!

Reverse Scraplift Winner!

I won the reverse scraplift contest at CocoaDaisy! Here is where I previously posted about it! I won a $25 gift certificate! I think I am going to make myself wait for the October add-ons since I liked that kit so much! Maybe I'll find something that will be great for my heirloom album!

WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!

I made the design team at A Walk Down Memory Lane! I am so excited to be working with Lisa and the rest of the team for the next 6 months! They have a great kit and a full store as well. I did some looking around in the store today and holy cow! There is a lot of product! Hope you'll come stop by!

Decathalon

So this was week 3's layout for the scrapbook olympics. It was decathalon. We had to use 10 elements...no more, no less. Harder than I thought but I really like what I ended up with. The background paper and photos count as an element as well as all the embellishments. I was the ONLY one out of about 75 that did a double page layout!

A New Way to Eat & Coburg Mini

I had seen these meals on the internet awhile ago but finally gave them a try. It was so easy to come up with some fun foods to put in the muffin cups...in fact I had a really good time at the grocery store (did I just say that?) looking for little foods. The kids thought it was funny too. Erin kept giggling and Isaac gave it high praise by saying it was "So Yum!" I think we're going to try to do it on Mondays as a special thing. Here are some more examples of muffin tin meals.
I think this is definitely the fastest I have ever got a book done after the event! This was the mini album and supplies from the October CocoaDaisy kit that we were using for the heirloom album. I just changed mine to the actual antique fair! I printed my pictures on textured white cardstock for a different look. Sorry these pictures aren't great...I couldn't get the little book to stay open!I couldn't resist using Ali's trademark of using the first letter of people's names on this picture of us.

Coburg Antique Fair and Ali Edwards

I am back from my weekend of play! It was super fun! Anna and I got to Eugene a little early so we did some shopping. I had no intention of buying anything (I would rather save my money for sb stuff!) but ended up buying a pair of red heels! Yes...red heels! Anna got them too and we plan on wearing them to Christmas dinner!

From there we went to Jill's house for a night of scrapbooking! We made a cute little book on heirlooms. I didn't get mine done but it turns out that is a good thing...I am going to make my heirloom book a bit bigger so that I can journal more! My little album is going to be an album about this weekend. It was really fun to get to meet more scrapbookers, meet Tricia from CocoaDaisy after many emails, see Emily and Jill whose blogs I read, and of course hang out with AliEdwards! Here's a picture of Ali and I. I'll admit I was a little "star struck" at first but by the end of the day it was more like hanging out with an old friend! (an old friend who is a really great scrapbooker!)

In the morning we got up at 5:00am (haven't seen that hour since I was nursing!) and met everyone in Coburg at 6:00am! When we started shopping, it was dark! Good thing there were street lights! There were tons of vendors with lots of cool stuff! I was looking for a few things and of course got more than I thought! This picture was taken at about 6:30am! Later in the day it was much more crowded!
I found this doll cradle for Erin but my mom had said awhile ago that she wanted to get one for her for her birthday so since my parents were there, they bought it.
This was a totally unexpected purchase. It is a 1930's necklace. They said it was silk glass.
I wanted a book and a dictionary to use on my sb pages. I found both. The dictionary is kind of falling apart so I will have no problem tearing it apart but the book is from 1890 and is in great condition so I'll probably be looking for another one to tear apart! The photographs album is going to be my heirloom album.
On the way home, we stopped at Goodwill in Salem because Jill had told Anna it was a good one! At the antique fair I was on the lookout for a textured bread pan to house all my journaling spots. I didn't see even one bread pan there! But I found one at Goodwill for $2.99 that was exactly what I wanted!
Now, after a good night's sleep, I can't wait to start on my antique fair book and my heirloom book! (Guess I should get off the computer!)

Scrapbook Olympics week 2

I am working on week 3's layout but here is last week's layout. It was Rythmic Gymnastics and we had to use ribbon and swirls! I have no journaling because it will go on the second page...I just didn't have time to do that page yet!

4 Days Until "Come Play Eugene!"

I couldn't be more excited! This is an event hosted by CocoaDaisy. They do it quarterly but this is the first one I will actually be able to attend! One of the very cool things about it is Ali Edwards will be there! WoooHoooo! After taking her class at CKC in March, I am super excited to see her again! She isn't actually teaching though. Jill is. We are making a mini album on heirlooms. So this morning I got the camera out, got the kids some books, opened all the blinds to take pictures of the piano, turn camera on...DEAD BATTERY! So, I am posting while it charges! Anyway, I just can't wait until Saturday! We are spending the night down there and then Sunday morning bright and early are going to the Coburg_Antique_Fair! I think I better give myself a budget! If you are in the area, and are interested, you can find the information here!
