Working Hard!

Haven't posted in a few days but I have been scrapping away! I have to finish 24 layouts for Isaac's preschool by May 16th and just started those! It is really 2 different layouts, just 12 times each and with different pictures! I have all the pictures cut for the pajama day layouts. I think it will be a good thing to do during American Idol tonight!
I am also working on a design team contest. I have all the ideas in my head of what I want to do. Some of it started and none of it finished! I am a procrastinator though and there are still almost 2 weeks left til it is due. I work best under pressure so in 10 days I'll do my best work! =)

Almost caught up!

Well, as it is national no TV week, I have been keeping the TV off during the day. (Not so at night!) It is amazing how much I can get done when I don't have that temptation! So now I am almost caught up on my scripture challenge. There have been 16 weeks and I have 13 done! These are the latest couple! The sun was actually out today so I could take the pictures outside!

God's Good Gifts

I am in a scrapbooking Bible Study called God'sGoodGifts. We have done 4 months so far but I only have 2 of them done. (Still waiting for nice days to take pictures of the church and home!) The first month was "Myself" and this last month was "Rest." It is a pretty spelled out study that is really easy to lead...we rotate months. Anyway, thought I'd share what I did on Friday!

April WHAT???

This is very unusual April weather for Oregon! Last Saturday it was almost 80 and this Saturday it snowed...on the valley floor! And the high was only 46! These pictures are from today and this is hail not snow. Our poor flowers...they don't know what is going on. The good thing about the weird weather is our Magnolia tree (the pink one) had had its blossoms for a lot longer than normal. They have usually opened and are starting to drop by now but this cold weather kept them on the tree! Can't wait to see what's in store next week!

Scripture Challenge

I have been doing the faithsisters' scripture challenge since the beginning of the year. I am a little behind because of the weeks that I couldn't do any because of the tendinitis in my wrists. I was able to get a few done this week and thought I'd share!

Making Cookies

Well, today I decided that since it is raining we should make cookies! This is no easy task with an 18 month old! Her idea of making cookies was wearing an apron and emptying every utensil out of every drawer she could get to! When she did start "helping" she really liked eating the flour!?!?!

My cousin-in-law made me the apron a few years ago and then this year when we were doing bazaars she had the little one so she gave it to Erin for Christmas! Love the kids in the chef hats!

Hmmm, what can I make a mess of now?

Isaac loves to be a helper...especially in the kitchen.

Yes, she likes flour. Go figure! At least it kept her busy!

Erin looked so cute with the flour on her face, I couldn't resist putting some on Isaac's nose for a picture!

Wait for it!!!

Yum, Yum, Yum!

Even better with milk!

Joy Forever Moving!

I am so sad! Joy Forever (my favorite LSS) is moving. They aren't moving any farther away but into a much smaller store. This means that their HUGE scraproom will be no more! In fact, there will be NO crop room at all. Honestly, this is where I get most of my layouts done! Now what am I going to do?
On the bright side...they aren't closing the store! I guess I'll have to count myself lucky in that...I know a lot of stores have closed in the last couple years because of all the competition from the big box stores and internet retailers.

Signs of Spring

Well, you gotta love Oregon weather...2 days ago pouring down rain and a high of 55...today sunny and almost 80! Supposed to be nice tomorrow but then rain all next week. Such is spring in Oregon...always a mixed bag!

We have 1 red tulip in our yard! I wanted to play with my new colorsplash program!

Look...no socks and my feet aren't cold!

The kids were having fun in the sun too!

Little Birdies

Isaac made this bird nest this morning while Erin ate breakfast. He had searched through a book I have of preschool art projects and picked this one. The only thing we didn't have was brown paint! I tried to mix some up but it ended up a bit purple. But Isaac said, "It's OK, we can make our bird nest whatever color we want!" How right he is!

Beach Layouts and a RAK!

Well, there were supposed to be 4 of us going to our scrapbooking weekend at the beach but it ended up to be only 2. Maybe not as much fun...but I think I probably got more done this way! I met my goal of 10 layouts! Definitely a record for me!

So here are some of my layouts. Leave a comment and tell me which is your favorite and I'll pick 2 comments to get some free Skinny Cow ice cream (in the form of gift certificates!) and some scrapbook goodies too!
These last 2 are from the March CK Kit of the Month. I changed a little but not a lot...a great way to get a layout done quickly at 1:00 in the morning!

I'll pick the winner tonight at 10:00 pacific time!

Not so good!

Here's what I was afraid of...that I would be not so good at posting! Now that spring break is over and it's back to normal, I haven't posted at all! I am going to the beach this weekend with 3 friends with the sole purpose of scrapbooking! My goal is 10-15 COMPLETED layouts. Tadd really laughed at me when I said that! I have 15 sketched out (mostly using BH sketches!) and for 12 of those I already have the paper and some embellies picked out. Hopefully when I get back I'll be able to post some of what I did! I also want to start posting my creations for the scripture challenge at FaithSisters.
